A live action adaptation of Disney’s 1992 animated film of the same name, and based on a tale from One Thousand and One Nights, Aladdin is the exciting story of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.

Insider tip: “With music that breathes new life to beloved songs with an emphasis on percussion and horns, and production designer Gemma Jackson’s luscious world building that borrows from various Middle-Eastern cultures as added pedigree, Aladdin is the rare remake that actually gives us a whole new world” (Oktay Ege Kozak, Paste Magazine). Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle, adds: “Aladdin, the live-action remake of the 1992 Disney animation, is more than a pleasant surprise. It’s a complete delight that stands up its own and is, in many ways, an improvement on the original.” Brian Truitt, USA Today: “The memorable songs return (with some new additions), the movie razzles and dazzles with huge dance sequences and impressive production design, but it’s definitely a more grown-up tale than the original 1992 animated classic.” Richard Roper, Chicago Sun-Times: “. . . Aladdin is on balance a colorful and lively adventure suitable for all ages . . . .”
