Based on the book, “13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi,” the film presents an account of the attack on the American embassy in Libya.

Insider’s tip: “. . . characters, stakes and emotions feel authentic — all the more so thanks to terrific actors including James Badge Dale and Pablo Schreiber as actual ex-military men and family men who battled terrorists” (Joe Dziemianowicz, New York Daily News).  Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times adds: “(13 HOURS is) . . . a well-photographed, visceral action film, and a sincere and fitting tribute to those secret soldiers.”  The film does a magnificent job of making intriguing and solid entertainment out of its true story.
